Luise’s Invitation - Glamorous Soirée in honour of Luise of Prussia

The Berlin Residence Concerts use the occasion of the “Year of Luise 2010“ to present some glamorous festivities and Prussian musical culture in the spirit of Romanticism. At the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace which was Luise’s favourite residence, the doors will open for a glamorous soirée, promising a unique, all-embracing artistic and culinary experience.

Thereby, musically talented Luise who loved chamber music and choir music will be the inspiration not only for our selected musical programme. At her time a role model of fashion, the so-called Prussian “beauty queen” will also inspire a journey through time with period costumes, granting a look behind the curtain of the couture of the Prussian majesties. Our guests will find an evening of witty amusement which will resurrect the salon culture blooming in the 19th century, crowned by Lucullan delicacies from the royal kitchen.
