Christmas Concert

Charlottenburg Palace, the sumptuous Baroque summer residence of Prussian kings, has revolved around artistic creativity and artistic delight since its early days. Our Christmas concert series taking place at the Great Orangery at Charlottenburg Palace on December 24 at 4:00 p.m., gives locals and tourists the opportunity of experiencing the era of Baroque in Berlin. The Berlin Residence Orchestra has been formed exclusively for the concert series at Charlottenburg Palace. The program includes an exclusive selection of musical highlights from the 17th and 18th centuries: works by J.S. Bach and special Christmas compositions by different composers. All members of the orchestra as well as staff members are dressed in historic costumes, recreating the magic of times past.

Programme

Prior to the concert, you can optionally enjoy an exclusive Christmas menu (not on December 24), served at the Orangery's west wing by the light of 500 candles. Dinner is followed by a concert of the Berlin Residence Orchestra featuring masterpieces by J.S. Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as well as Christmas compositions created by various composers, presented in the unique setting of the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace.
