New Year's Eve Concert

Charlottenburg Palace, the sumptuous Baroque summer residence of Prussian kings, has revolved around artistic creativity and artistic delight since its early days. Our New Year's concert series taking place at the Great Orangery at Charlottenburg Palace on December 30, 31 and on January 01 at 8:30 p.m (additionally on 31 December at 3 p.m.) gives locals and tourists the opportunity of experiencing the era of Baroque in Berlin. In a truly exquisite ambience of candlelight, the Berlin Residence Orchestra presents masterpieces of music, taking the audience on a journey to the golden era of Baroque and classical music. Enjoy this musical journey back in time at one of the most historic and exclusive venues in Berlin.
The Berlin Residence Orchestra has been formed exclusively for the concert series at Charlottenburg Palace. The program includes an exclusive selection of musical highlights from the 17th and 18th centuries. On the occasion of our New Year’s Eve concerts, our orchestra will be dressed in historic costumes in the first part and in festive evening dress after the interval.

Programme

Prior to the concert, you can optionally enjoy an exclusive four-course New Year's menu, served at the Orangery's west wing by the light of 500 candles. Dinner is followed by a Berlin Residence Concert including masterpieces by the Strauss family and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in the unique setting of the Grand Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace.

Please pick up your concert tickets as well as your dinner voucher at our office located at the Small Orangery ("Kleine Orangerie") at Charlottenburg Palace. You also have the option of retrieving your tickets the day of the concert at the Grand Orangery from 5:30 p.m. onwards. Our office is open from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., closed Sundays.
