Tour of Charlottenburg Palace - Old Palace

Charlottenburg Palace is today's largest residence of the royal house of Hohenzollern in Germany's capital Berlin. The magnificent building is surrounded by unique Baroque gardens featuring various architectural styles. The palace includes magnificently furnished chambers and ballrooms with exclusive art collections.

Your tour will take you to the rooms of the so-called Old Palace, which was built for Electress Sophie Charlotte by Nering and Eosander von Göthe. You will discover private chambers and ceremonial rooms, the Oak Gallery and the Porcelain Cabinet dating back to the era of Frederick I, the first Prussian king.

Take your time to explore this palace, named after Queen Sophie Charlotte.

This exclusive guided tour is available for groups of 10 and up.

Individual persons will visit the Old Palace or the New Wing accompanied by an audioguide (German, English, French or Italian). We recommend starting the palace visit between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that the palace closes at 5:15 p.m. You also have the option of visiting the palace anytime during the day. Please note that the New Wing is closed on Tuesdays.

Dinner

Culture and fine cuisine are an excellent combination. Join us for an exquisite dinner served at Charlottenburg Palace Orangery. Enjoy our three-course "Orangery Menu".

Concert

The Berlin Residence Orchestra will delight you with its performance in the unique ambience of the Great Orangery. Witness the revival of a grand musical tradition at the Orangery. the Berlin Residence Orchestra performs every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from April to October and every Friday and Saturday in November and December.

River Cruise

Enjoy a three-hour river cruise under the bridges of historic Berlin. Your tour will take you to discover the following sites: Palace Bridge (Schlossbrücke) – Charlottenburg Riverbank (Charlottenburger Ufer) – "Hansa" District (Hansaviertel) – Ministry of the Interior – Government District (Spreebogen) – Bellevue Palace (the German President's official residence).
